Within the framework of the European Commission’s Global Gateway programme, Lattanzio KIBS supports UNESCO in a strategic study on policies related to the teaching profession in Sub-Saharan Africa

A project for education in Africa

UNESCO has launched a study aimed at assessing the current state of teacher-related policies and supporting countries in strengthening regulatory frameworks and governance systems in the education sector. In this context, Lattanzio KIBS provides UNESCO with structured technical and analytical support, contributing to the mapping and analysis of policies concerning the teaching profession across 40 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa.

The study is part of the Regional Teachers Initiative for Africa (RTIA), one of the flagship projects of the European Commission’s Global Gateway programme. The initiative stems from a collaboration between the European Union, the African Union, UNESCO, and several EU Member States—Belgium, Finland and France. Its objective is to strengthen education systems in Sub-Saharan Africa by fostering the development of a qualified, motivated and inclusive teaching workforce capable of addressing both current and future challenges in basic education.
