The evaluation on the response to Covid 19 in Zimbabwe for UNICEF

The project is commissioned by UNICEF. Lattanzio KIBS' assignment is to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the interventions implemented by the Zimbabwean government to address the health emergency.

Lattanzio KIBS has 5 specific objectives that guide the analysis and evaluation of the implemented actions:

  1. Assess relevance, coherence, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability of the emergency response, along with operational and working modalities of the interventions
  2. Identify useful options for future planning/financing activities
  3. Recognise good practices and lessons learned 
  4. Provide recommendations to improve synergies between stakeholders
  5. Assess the adoption of 'equity' and 'gender' principles at all stages, including the inclusion of vulnerable groups

Project Pluses 

The team of experts involved used a formative approach, focusing both on gaps and bottlenecks to be filled as well as lessons and good practices learned. With this in mind, an online workshop was organized at the conclusion of the Project to discuss with stakeholders the results of the evaluation and its potential learning and programming implications.
