Lattanzio KIBS supports the Department of Equal Opportunity in the development of gender-oriented methodologies
In the 2014-2020 programming, the theme of equal opportunities is a transversal principle in strategic programming and implementation. In this context, the Gender Mainstreaming Evaluation Methods and Tools (MES) project of the Department for Equal Opportunities aims to implement a gender-oriented evaluation system integrating the principle of equal opportunities in the programming and implementation of interventions.
Lattanzio KIBS will support the Department's evaluation capacity building through the development of methodologies, innovative evaluation tools and thematic evaluations.
The objectives of the project are:
- to accumulate evaluation knowledge in order to carry out some context analyses
- develop evaluation tools
- identify good national and European practices
- carry out pilot evaluations
- disseminate this knowledge to those responsible for EU co-financed structural programmes and National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRP) interventions

On Wednesday 8 February 2023, Lattanzio KIBS organised the first operational workshop entitled 'Launching the participatory process for the definition of a methodology for the identification of good practices for gender-sensitive evaluation. Exchange of evaluation practices within the EU'.
The aim of the meeting was to discuss the selection criteria for good evaluation practices with a presentation of case studies on ERDF, ESF and EAFRD funds.
The meeting was promoted by the Department for Equal Opportunities and was attended by representatives from the European Commission (DG Regio and DG Agri), the Agency for Territorial Cohesion, ANPAL Servizi and NUVAP.
