Strengthening education in Madagascar and Laos

Lattanzio KIBS is independent evaluator of UNESCO's CapED Programme

Lattanzio KIBS has been awarded the evaluation of UNESCO's CapED (Capacity Development for Education) Programme's country-level interventions in Madagascar and Lao PDR, the program of the United Nations specialized agency for Education, Science and Culture aimed at less developed countries to strengthen their education systems.

Through the "Outcome harvesting" methodology combined with a theoretical approach and the subdivision into 3 phases of work (inception, data collection and reporting), the assignment aims to assess the CapED programme's capacity to achieve concrete results that improve access and quality of education at national and sub-national levels in the countries of Madagascar and Lao PDR. This is complemented by the identification of improvement areas as well as good practices useful for future programming.
