Technical assistance in the management of European Funds

In March, Lattanzio Advisory won a project promoted by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanisation (MoEU) in Turkey. Until March 2023, Lattanzio Advisory will be involved in providing technical assistance to the General Directorate of European Union and Foreign Relations (GDoEUFR) according to the IPA II guidelines (Instrument for the Pre-Accession Assistance 2014-2020).

The project, worth almost 4 million euros, aims at strengthening the capacities of both GDoEUFR and its various units in the management of European funds allocated to programmes and calls for proposals for the improvement of urban and environmental infrastructures, and of the public and private bodies that will implement these calls for proposals. The final objectives are to ensure greater absorption capacity of European funds by GDoEUFR, to align Turkey with the European environmental acquis and to help limit the negative effects of climate change.

Lattanzio Advisory will work closely with MoEU and industry beneficiaries throughout the whole process of managing environmental projects, from the preparation of calls for proposals to their implementation and final evaluation. This will be achieved through training activities for human resources in project management and fund management, and the organization of study visits in Italy and Slovakia.
