Lattanzio KIBS takes part in Gardone Association event on sustainable ports
New perspectives on the horizon
In the marvellous setting of Gardone Riviera, the participatory workshop "Sustainable ports: what prospects for Lake Garda?" is being held today. Among the participants in the event are prominent personalities such as Emanuele Moraschini, President of the Province of Brescia, Andrea Cipani, Mayor of the Municipality of Gardone Riviera, and Aurora Floridia, Senator of the Italian Republic.
On the agenda, speeches on the use and criticality of lakes and a commitment to eco-sustainable boats through the use of renewable fuels. Annachiara Annino, Head of the Centro Studi Lattanzio KIBS, spoke on the occasion about HUB Green Ports and the multistakeholder perspective for green regeneration.
Towards the goals: what we have achieved so far
With the launch of HUB Green Ports, Centro Studi Lattanzio KIBS investigates the need for redevelopment of Italian port areas in order to animate a platform for contact between the public and private sectors aimed at developing port areas in a sustainable way.
The idea is to contribute to generating solutions for the economic and social development of port cities, starting from the preservation of the territorial heritage and the redevelopment of disused port areas, with a view to making port activities more efficient and reducing their environmental impact.
