Lattanzio KIBS was awarded the project 'Evaluation of the Education Program Reform' of UNRWA, the Agency that provides assistance and protection to registered Palestine refugees, helping them to reach their full potential in human development.
UNRWA's Education Reform Strategy 2011-2015 aimed to improve the agency's education program by changing habits within classrooms, the school environment, and management systems, including the professional and administrative support structure.
The contribution of Lattanzio KIBS to the Evaluation
The purpose of this evaluation was to provide UNRWA, UN agencies, the Palestinian Authority's Ministry of Education and Higher Education, local NGOs, donors, teachers, and students with an independent assessment of UNRWA's education reform strategy and how it contributed to the agency's medium-term strategy (2016 to 2022).
The main objective was twofold: on the one hand, to address the primary need for learning, identify lessons, and draft recommendations that will inform future activities. On the other hand, the evaluation provided accountability to the various stakeholders involved in the reform, in order to understand the true extent of UNRWA's contribution to the quality and scope of its educational program.
