On Monday 24 November at the headquarters of the Lombardy Region in Rome, Lattanzio e Associati launched a research project on the topic of monitoring and operating expenses

History of the Project

The issue of monitoring operating expenditure in the regions is one of the basic tools supporting the broader process of implementing internal governance systems.

The Conference of the Controlling Services of the Regions and Autonomous Provinces has shown interest in starting an internal comparison for a structured reflection among the different Regions in a logic of sharing and exchange of experiences. There was an excellent response from the regional administrations that have already lent their willingness to participate in the working group (Basilicata, Campania, Liguria, Lombardy, Piedmont, Sardinia, Tuscany, Umbria and Veneto), the results of which will in any case be made public and disseminated to insiders through a conference and a publication.

Objectives of the research activity

  • Reconstruct and share the state of the art of the implementation process of procedures and systems for monitoring operating expenditure and analytical accounting in the regions;
  • Explain the different "trend" reference models on the subject under research;
  • Indicate implementation paths for the deployment of the systems.
