Gender equity and rural development: where do they intersect?
At the 2024 edition of the event “La Toscana delle Donne”, dedicated to promoting gender equality and enhancing the role of women, the discussion focused on policies supporting women across various sectors. Emphasis was placed on existing challenges and the opportunities offered by the Region to foster their professional growth and development.
Lattanzio KIBS participated as a guest and, during the session on Rural Development and Women’s Entrepreneurship, presented the findings of the fourth thematic evaluation titled "Gender Perspective Evaluation of the 2014-2022 Rural Development Programme of the Tuscany Region".
In close collaboration with the FEASR Managing Authority of the Tuscany Region, the analysis highlighted the key needs of Tuscan women entrepreneurs in agriculture, exploring opportunities, obstacles, and strategies to promote gender equity. This achievement represents a significant step in integrating gender equality into policies co-funded by European Funds.
