In Bari, during Assoconsult’s two days devoted to the identity of the profession, human capital and artificial intelligence, Lattanzio KIBS took part in the presentation of the report that brings four studies on consulting into dialogue
In Bari, the future of consulting
On 29 and 30 October, at Villa Romanazzi Carducci in Bari, Assoconsult’s Consulting Day focused on the identity of the profession, the role of human capital and the impact of artificial intelligence, on the way to the new Consulting Manifesto.
Two days to reflect on the value the sector can generate for people, businesses and the country, also covered by the press with an interview with President Alberto Antonietti in La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno.
Once again this year, in the Assoconsult network
Assoconsult, the Confindustria association representing consulting firms in Italy, promotes the sector’s contribution to the growth of businesses and Public Administration. Lattanzio KIBS, which for over twenty-five years has supported the public sector at all levels of the institutional chain, has been a member for years, and its Founder, Ezio Lattanzio, is Past President of Assoconsult and Confindustria Intellect. This is the strength of the network: pooling experience and vision to build, together, the future of consulting.
The Research Center, Scientific Partner
The report “Four perspectives on consulting”, presented on the first day, brings together four surveys and twelve interviews. Among them is the intergenerational research by Assoconsult’s Young Team, of which the Lattanzio KIBS Research Center is Scientific Partner: 155 Junior Enterprise members and 157 professionals compared on choices, skills and the future of the profession.
Annachiara Annino, Partner and Head of the Lattanzio KIBS Research Center, spoke at the presentation round table to discuss its findings: four decisions for the sector, from tangible growth to learning in the AI era, and the 74.2% of young people who imagine staying in consulting for up to five years. Among the insights also AI, automation or algorithms, present in 54.3% of young people’s texts on the future of the profession.
Among the questions raised: how do you teach a profession that is changing? It is a challenge for managers, who are called to pass on skills in a profession that AI is transforming. For consulting firms, it is about holding together the quality of the professional experience and the quality of the service. The four workstreams will be developed by the Young Team in thematic Sounding Boards among consulting firms.
