The first quantitative study on the socio-economic conditions of refugees in Italy is now online, published by UNHCR in collaboration with Lattanzio KIBS, FIERI, and with the support of ISTAT.

Strategic assessment for effective change

The report, titled "Integration between Challenges and Opportunities", provides an in-depth and updated overview of the main obstacles hindering effective refugee integration in Italy: widespread poverty, job insecurity, housing difficulties, limited access to welfare services, and discrimination. Particular attention is given to language barriers and the weakness of social networks.

This report represents a key tool for national and local institutions, supporting the design of more targeted and inclusive policies.

Through its contribution alongside UNHCR and FIERI, Lattanzio KIBS offers a clear, evidence-based picture that can help shape more effective integration strategies, highlighting the valuable role refugees can play in fostering growth and social cohesion in the country.
