Conference: Operating expenses in public administrations

Three key moments

The conference will be held on 14th July in the Stenditoio Hall of the San Michele Monumental Center of Rome. The workshop presents the results of research activities conducted by 55 experts representing 17 regional administrations and compares them with the experiences of other sectors of the Public System.

• The first part introduces the topic of Public Administration Operation, the boundaries of monitoring and possible approaches and management levers for expenditure governance.
• The second part is devoted to presentation: from the voice of privileged witnesses, to paths, solutions, interventions for rationalization of expenditures at different levels of government (Central Government, Regions, Local Authorities).
• In the third part, systems for monitoring operating expenses and analytical accounting are illustrated, seeking to offer a broad cross-section of choices, models and paths of development in the Public System.

Who it is addressed to 

The conference, which is completely free of charge, is aimed at administrators, managers and officials of Ministries, Regions, EE.LL., public bodies and entities and, in particular, administrators of management control structures, planning, budgeting, but also of the main centers authorising expenditure. Each one's point of view on the problem will be emphasized, in order to enhance the experiences and options practiced for an innovative and shared approach to the issue of governing operating expenses. 

In addition, the results of the Laboratory's activities are collected in the volume Monitoring Operating Costs. A guide for public administrations which will be presented and distributed as a gift to participants.
