Lattanzio KIBS supports the European University Institute in the independent evaluation of the European Media and Information Fund, the EU’s key instrument for strengthening research, fact-checking, and media literacy
A Strategic Fund to Safeguard Digital Information
The European Media and Information Fund (EMIF) was established to promote a more transparent and reliable information ecosystem by countering digital disinformation. Created through a partnership between the European University Institute and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Fund finances research, fact-checking, and media literacy projects across Europe, thanks to an initial €25 million contribution from the Google News Initiative.
In a context where the quality of digital information has become a democratic concern, the European University Institute has tasked Lattanzio KIBS with assessing EMIF’s impact for the 2021-2025 period, ensuring transparency and guiding future strategic decisions.
