Evaluating the Impact of SME Support Programmes in Kazakhstan

Working alongside the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Lattanzio KIBS was involved in supporting the country's SME sector. Specifically, the project involved conducting an impact assessment of the SME Competitiveness Project of which the Republic of Kazakhstan was a beneficiary.

The programme to support SME competitiveness in Kazakhstan was financed by the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Lattanzio KIBS was entrusted with assessing the programme's impact on the private sector and strengthening the ministry's capacity to implement the methodology designed by our team.

Project Pluses

The project activities conducted by the team were the testing ground for the implementation of an effective methodology in monitoring and evaluating the impact of the project on the economic fabric of the country. The plus was, in fact, being able to put ourselves at stake in intercepting best practices.
