Lattanzio KIBS was commissioned to develop an e-learning course for the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations

The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) is a specialised agency of the United Nations that leads international efforts to eradicate hunger. Its goal is to achieve food security for all and to ensure that people have regular access to enough high quality food to lead active and healthy lives. With 195 members - 194 countries and the European Union - the FAO operates in more than 130 countries around the world.

More details

Lattanzio KIBS is designing and producing an e-learning course on the Fundamental Texts of the Organization, including FAO's Statute and Financial Regulations, focusing on the legal instruments that detail the mandate, objectives and functions of the body.

The course includes four modules of interactive content, with knowledge checks, guided instruction and resources for further reading. Aimed at all staff members, the online training informs about the roles of the various governing bodies of the Organisation, the statutory bodies, the authority of management, how staff and members interact, and the programme and budget administration.

Project Impact

By completing the course and developing an understanding of the Fundamental Texts and their application, FAO employees are able to effectively carry out their daily responsibilities and facilitate the achievement of FAO's goals for food security in the world.
