Lattanzio KIBS assists AgEA's Coordination Office in assessing the proper management of EMFF funds
The European Maritime Policy, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFF) is one of the five structural funds aimed at fostering economic growth and employment in Europe in these specific sectors. In Italy the Fund's Managing Authority is represented by the Agenzia per le Erogazioni in Agricoltura (AgEA), which is in charge of distributing EMFF resources to agricultural and fishing producers. Lattanzio KIBS supports AgEA's Coordination Office in audit activities aimed at ensuring the proper execution of Fund management operations.
More details
Lattanzio KIBS supports the Agenzia per le Erogazioni in Agricoltura with highly specialised operational assistance services and assesses the correctness and effectiveness of expenditure implemented through the Fund. It also writes the Annual Control Report (AAR) and the Audit Opinion, reports issued annually and addressed to the European Commission as a record of the results of the activities carried out.
In addition, Lattanzio KIBS monitors the maintenance of the EMFF Managing Authority designation requirements and prepares strategies, manuals and technical documentation to be presented during the various project phases.
Project Impact
The Covid-19 pandemic hit the fisheries and aquaculture sectors hard at European level. In this context, the EMFF is an important tool for the recovery of the maritime economy. Indeed, the Fund's objectives include the enhancement of SMEs and the participation of local communities in territorial development strategies.
The intervention of Lattanzio KIBS contributes to verifying that AgEA's Coordination Office ensures compliance with EU and national sector regulations during the course of operations and to speed up the recovery of the blue economy at European level.
