Lattanzio KIBS stands alongside UNHCR Jordan in monitoring and evaluation activities for greater financial inclusion

The ability to understand and respond to the financial needs of refugees is crucial for ensuring their well-being and integration. In Jordan, UNHCR supports the population through the Cash Based Interventions (CBI) Unit, which aims to provide cash to ensure greater financial autonomy for refugees. UNHCR aims to strengthen the CBI Unit's capacity to collect, analyze, and report data on refugees' needs, priorities, and experiences, as well as their ability to manage crises.

More Details

Lattanzio KIBS has been awarded Workstream 4, which involves developing and implementing guidelines for conducting surveys on economic inclusion (income-generating capacity) and financial health (access to formal financial services) of refugees with the aim of:

  • Identifying their needs, priorities, and experiences through listening and analyzing collected data
  • Providing recommendations and insights useful for future intervention strategies through the drafting and dissemination of the Baseline Survey Report

The intervention also includes evaluating the effectiveness of providing cash to the Jordanian population through the use of digital wallets, both to simplify the distribution of money to refugee families and to lay the foundations for greater future economic inclusion. Additionally, Lattanzio KIBS oversees the organization and coordination of discussion sessions and dissemination events.

Project Impact

Lattanzio KIBS' intervention allows for the identification of key indicators, benchmarks, and objectives for UNHCR's work for the period 2023-2025, collecting essential data to evaluate the outcomes of the CBI Unit's initiatives in Jordan.

The management of monitoring and evaluation practices enables UNHCR to act more swiftly on the ground to strengthen the financial inclusion and financial health of refugees nationwide.
