Promoting European territorial cooperation

The Interreg Italy-France Maritime 2021-2027 European Territorial Cooperation Programme is a strategic instrument for the development of coastal regions in the western Mediterranean, with Sardinia as a key reference territory. Despite the significant opportunities offered by European funds, the limited dissemination of information among potential beneficiaries and the insufficient public awareness of the scope and outcomes of funded programmes continue to hinder the full realisation of EU investments.

To address these gaps, the Autonomous Region of Sardinia - through its Regional Programming Centre - has launched a structured technical assistance service for the Programme's territorial communication activities, entrusted to Lattanzio KIBS for a three-year period (2026–2029). The project responds to a wide range of needs: from raising public awareness to providing operational support to beneficiaries, from organising institutional events to managing the Programme's digital presence - all with the overarching goal of strengthening interregional development through high-impact communication.

At the core of the intervention is the continuous support provided to the Territorial Contact Point at the Regional Programming Centre. Lattanzio KIBS acts as a technical partner in the planning, coordination and monitoring of all Programme communication activities, ensuring both strategic vision and day-to-day operational delivery.

On the events front, the team manages the organisation of public appointments and institutional meetings - including the periodic sessions of the Programme's governing bodies hosted in Sardinia - creating genuine opportunities for dialogue between institutions, beneficiaries and citizens.

The Programme's digital presence is managed through an integrated Social Media Management strategy and targeted communication campaigns, designed to reach diverse audiences with consistent and recognisable messages across all online channels.

Rounding out the intervention, a structured monitoring activity tracks the results of projects funded across the territory, ensuring that achievements are reported, valorised and shared as best practices - sustaining a continuous narrative of the concrete impact of European funds on the lives of local communities.

Project Impact

The project has a direct impact on the Autonomous Region of Sardinia's ability to communicate European funding opportunities in a structured and effective manner, helping to bridge the information gap between institutions and final beneficiaries. Through an integrated approach combining technical assistance, event management, digital communication and monitoring, Lattanzio KIBS strengthens the visibility of the Interreg Italy-France Maritime Programme and increases the active engagement of stakeholders across the territory.

The added value of this intervention lies in its capacity to translate institutional complexity into accessible and engaging messages, fostering a sense of active European citizenship. The project reinforces the governance of regional public communication, ensuring coherence, transparency and continuity in information activities throughout the entire duration of the 2021-2027 Programme.
