Analysis of results and future perspectives
The implementation of Integrated Supply Chain Projects (PIF) in the 2007-2013 programming period represented a significant innovation in Italian rural development policies, aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of agri-food supply chains through an integrated and participatory approach.
This article analyzes the results achieved by PIFs in various Italian regions, highlighting both successes and critical issues encountered during the implementation process. It examines the effects of PIFs on supply chain governance, integration among different actors, and the distribution of added value along the production chain.
Lattanzio KIBS, through the contributions of its professionals, participated in the ongoing and ex-post evaluations of PIFs in several regions, providing a critical analysis of the practices adopted and proposing recommendations to improve the effectiveness of future interventions within rural development policies.
