Practices and lessons from the evaluation of rural development in Tuscany Region
Reflecting on the usefulness of evaluation means acknowledging its strategic role in transforming public policies.
This contribution analyzes the experience of the Tuscany Region in evaluating its Rural Development Programme, highlighting methodological tools, participatory approaches, and organizational conditions that maximized the effectiveness and use of evaluation results, generating tangible impacts on administrative capacity and policy implementation.
Through the Tuscan case, Lattanzio KIBS illustrates how evaluation can become a transformative process, illustrating the activities carried out, the reports produced and the lessons learned over more than a decade of evaluation support.
