Supporting the management of the PNRR Cascade Call for conservation of cultural heritage

As part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), Spoke 5 of the Changes project launched a cascade funding call to support applied research projects focused on the conservation of cultural heritage. To effectively manage the implementation and administrative phases, Spoke 5 entrusted Lattanzio KIBS with the provision of strategic technical and legal support.

Lattanzio KIBS' work focuses on three key areas. First, operational support to the Project Manager (RUP) throughout the entire preparatory process, including the eligibility verification of applications, the preparation of required documentation, and the facilitation of access to funding. This is complemented by specialized legal consultancy services to ensure proper management of the cascade call, covering contract assistance, risk assessment, dispute resolution, and regulatory compliance. Lastly, Lattanzio KIBS provides ongoing oversight of the administrative management of funded projects, including activity monitoring, reporting, support for first-level audits, and the use of a dedicated dashboard to track spending progress, error rates, and any financial adjustments in real time.

Project Impact

The project strengthens the national research ecosystem and improves the management of a strategic initiative for cultural heritage preservation. Key objectives include the characterization of artefacts, the analysis of degradation mechanisms driven by climate change, and the development of sustainable conservation protocols. Spoke 5 also promotes the creation of low-cost IoT solutions for environmental monitoring and advanced diagnostic methods for organic materials, with the aim of transforming data-driven research. Lattanzio KIBS' involvement ensures transparency, efficiency, and the effective use of public funds.
