Supporting the evolution of the TRIO platform for professional training

The TRIO project was launched by the Tuscany Region in 1998 with the objective of developing an advanced digital system for online training, capable of supporting citizens, workers and businesses in developing their skills. Over the years, the platform has progressively established itself as a key tool for the dissemination of distance learning and for strengthening the regional skills system.

The project is funded within the framework of European cohesion policies, with contributions from the European Union, the Italian State and the Tuscany Region, under the Italy Cohesion Programme 2021-2027.

Today, the platform continues to grow and engage an increasing number of users: as of 31 January 2026, 107,629 active users are registered, demonstrating the increasingly central role of TRIO in supporting the development of digital and professional skills across the region.

The assignment includes a comprehensive set of activities aimed at ensuring the continuity, development and enhancement of the TRIO system as a reference platform for regional digital training.

Lattanzio KIBS contributes to the strategic management of the project and the coordination of its various operational components, ensuring integration between learning activities, communication initiatives and overall system management.

The project also includes activities related to the development and updating of the training offer, support for the design of learning pathways and verification of their alignment with the Regional Skills System.

Among the planned activities are also communication and promotion initiatives for the TRIO system, implemented through digital campaigns, institutional events and networking activities involving stakeholders from the education sector, universities and public institutions. These actions aim to expand the reach of the platform and strengthen its positioning within the national e-learning landscape.

Project Impact

Through this initiative, Lattanzio KIBS contributes to strengthening the role of the TRIO platform as a strategic infrastructure for professional training, promoting free and open access to innovative and high-quality learning opportunities.

Thanks to a long-standing collaboration with the Tuscany Region, the continuity of this intervention builds on the experience gained in previous phases of the project, ensuring strategic coherence, quality of the training offer and a strong capacity for innovation.

In the long term, the project contributes to strengthening the Tuscany Region’s capacity to promote lifelong learning policies, reinforcing the regional skills system and supporting the economic and social development of the territory.
