Lattanzio KIBS supports the Autonomous Region of Sardinia in the digitalisation of voluntary jurisdiction files, aiming to modernise civil justice as part of the broader digital transition of the public administration

The Autonomous Region of Sardinia has launched a strategic initiative to digitise voluntary jurisdiction records held by regional courts, with the aim of making the judicial system more efficient, accessible, and aligned with national digital standards.

This initiative responds to the need to move beyond paper-based processes and to overcome the physical barriers to accessing court services, an especially relevant challenge in an island territory. In this context, digitalisation represents not only a step toward administrative innovation but also an investment in service equity and proximity.

The effort required significant commitment from the Regional Authority, both financially and organisationally, and forms part of a broader interregional initiative also involving the Region of Emilia-Romagna.

More details

The project involves the full digitisation of voluntary jurisdiction files, converting thousands of paper documents into secure, accessible digital archives integrated within the Ministry’s SICID information system.
The intervention is structured across several operational phases: preliminary analysis, digital acquisition, document classification, indexing, uploading to the platform, tracking, and auditing. All activities are carried out in strict compliance with data protection regulations, applying the principles set out in the GDPR and relying on systems certified under ISO/IEC 27001.
Lattanzio KIBS supports the Regional Authority through a rigorous methodological approach and advanced technological solutions to ensure quality, traceability, and consistency in the management of judicial information.

Project Impact

The initiative delivers a tangible improvement in the internal efficiency of court offices—particularly court registries, by reducing processing times and facilitating the management of civil procedures.
Digitalisation supports the standardisation of data across regional courts, ensuring consistency, security, and interoperability.
For citizens, this means faster and easier access to services related to successions, legal separations, and guardianship procedures, with a positive impact on the quality of civil justice and public trust in institutions.
