Highlighting best practices

The event, which is part of the EU IPA 2008 project, will provide an opportunity to disseminate best practices of the progress made in implementing the General Administrative Procedure Act and the benefits it can bring to the Croatian population among international stakeholders and Croatian citizens themselves.

Context of the conference

The EU IPA 2008 project funded by the European Union for the benefit of the Croatian Ministry of Public Administration aims to support the Croatian Republic in strengthening a reliable, open, transparent and citizen-oriented PA. In particular, it aims to promote the professional competence of PA staff to enable them to ensure the effective implementation of the GAPA and to increase citizens' knowledge of the law itself.

Participation of experts

The conference will be introduced by by Arsen Bauk, Minister of Public Administration of the Republic of Croatia, and Paul Vandorem, Head of the European Delegation to the Republic of Croatia, will focus on the benefits of GAPA for Croatian citizens and legislation. There will be panel discussions with renowned national and international experts, such as Germana Panzironi, Head of the Legislative Office of the Department of Public Service. The experts will talk about GAPA in Croatia and the instruments that can contribute to its success and further implementation.
